Crushedtubelamp
The symmetrical, controlled deformation of the tube is the essence of
the form. The nature of the material (polyester resin coated paper) is
exposed by capturing the drape of the once wet material. The hanging orientation
of this lamp emphasizes this point. Polyester, paper and aluminum.
The appearance and form of this object may be beautiful to some, but the
real intent is to reveal the beauty in each concept and give notice to
objects and forms that are usually ignored and not considered beautiful.
This experimental furniture piece was exhibited at the 2002 ICFF.
